La place de l'éditeur critique dans un débat public : les programmes d’histoire au cycle secondaire

Abstract : Printed books are long-term media. However they are as well used to defend ideas in a public debate as other media such as press, television, radio or the Internet. This dissertation focuses on the role of the publisher as a critique in a particular case: history teaching at school (collège and lycée). Many reforms are made on history syllabus and textbooks, but they are often disputed by persons related to this subject: teachers, researchers, politicians. Critical publications are a way for authors and publishers to express divergent opinions. The analysis of eight of those essays – including the form, the reception by the public and the content – tries to show the role of critical publishers in the debate.
