Revalorisation des matières contenues dans le combustible nucléaire usé en France

Abstract : Is spent nuclear fuel simply ‘waste’ or a practically unlimited energy source? France seems to have made its choice: its spent nuclear fuel assemblies are reprocessed and recycled to make the best use of the valuable substances that they contain, and especially to preserve their energy potential for future generations.
This Master thesis considers management of spent nuclear fuel from a translation viewpoint. A French source text and its Russian translation are used to highlight certain similarities and differences between the two languages, terminological problems and their solutions, as well as technological and even political aspects that enter into the picture.
