Les connectivités hydrologiques en milieu bocager : étude de l'impact de l'évolution du paysage dans un sous bassin versant de la Sienne

Abstract : The aim of this thesis is to understand the impact of landscape changes on hydrological connectivities in a bocage area. The studied watershed is located in the South of the French Department of La Manche, more precisely near Villedieu-les-Poêles-Rouffigny. Like in the whole Department, this watershed has undergone significant changes in the landscape over the last 60 years partly due to land consolidation in the 1970's. This watershed remains a bocage area but the changes carried out in the organization of the landscape have profoundly changed its hydrological functioning. In order to understand the impact of landscape changes on hydrological connectivity, this thesis will be based on three reference years: 1955, 1992 and 2021. Several stages will allow us to see if the evolution of the landscape has also led to changes in the hydrological connectivity of the watershed. In order to visualize these evolutions, the work will be based on the results from LASCAR modelling system. Moreover, a methodology to better understand the impact of crop rotations on hydrological connectivity will also be presented. Samples from plots connected to watercourses and ditches will also be analyzed to see if hydrological connectivity is still synonymous with hydro-sedimentary transfers. All these steps will then be put together in order to show how they can complement each other in order to offer a method allowing a comprehensive and sustainable understanding of the hydrological connectivity of a watershed and the related processes in the long term.
