Study of forest soil quality following fire period

Abstract : Global Warming is strongly linked with human activity and the greenhouse gases it produces. Last Intergovernmental panel on climate change (IPCC) reports highlight how crucial it is to reduce a lot, fast and persistently these emissions. Forest fires, by releasing over a short period of time huge quantities of greenhouse gases, participate to the global emissions. The European project REMAS aims to investigate the possibilities to stock more carbon in the soils in order to reduce the missions during wildfires. During my internship, I participated to the study of soil recuperation after a forest fire.
