Concevoir les espaces d’apprentissage par le design : partis pris et enjeux de l’aménagement du CDI

Abstract : If the way of conceiving effective public spaces is evolving under human-centered preoccupations, the way schools are currently designed tends to represent an architecture that is relevant from last century. However, the pedagogy itself is changing to promote new approaches, it is even more striking to consider the effects of school design as it is supporting or in contradiction to these teaching assumptions. Taking a look on the impacts of the architecture on the learning process could be a crucial step to redefine the basics of school and federate a new generation of students. It consists on reevaluate the way classrooms are shaped, but moreover to give more strength to places such as the CDI (Documentation and information center) as they represent an understated pedagogic weapon. These hybrid learning spaces are in fact confronting many aspects to bring out a pedagogy centered on self-sufficiency, collaboration and citizen values. Designing such a space is a challenge for the librarians but they can find effective tools looking out the methodology of approaches such as the Design Thinking.
