Désengagement de la communication X25 au profit d'une solution web, pour la récupération des appels synchrones par les fournisseurs. Migration de l'application de suivi et de pilotage des centres de production de Mulhouse, Palomar et Mangualde

Abstract : Automobile group PSA Peugeot Citroën, daily produces thousands of vehicles throughout the world. To achieve its production targets, the group relies on the SIFA (Information Systems for Manufacturing) department, responsible for the development, evolution and maintenance of the IT applications dedicated to vehicle production. In response to advances in hardware and communications, certain SIFA legacy applications based on obsolete material and protocols have to be replaced. The Apsynt application places at the disposal of suppliers in the vicinity of the assembly plants the orders which they must supply synchronized with the production flow. To retrieve their orders, the suppliers connect to the Apsynt application through rented X25 lines. However the X25 network providers have announced their intention to drop this legacy protocol and in France will no longer offer this service from September 2011. A new application, SyncIP, has been created to act as an interface between Apsynt and the suppliers. My task is to conceive, develop, test and deploy the operational version of SyncIP and to deliver the objects defined in the PSA Project Standards. For the final assembly plants within the group, the Argos application ensures vehicle flow management throughout the production line. It is deployed on Tandem (HP NonStop™) machines whose support expires in 2013. To overcome this constraint, SP3, a new application offering the same functions, has been developed and will be deployed on manufacturer-independent clustered UNIX machines. My training course will entail the migration from the Argos application to SP3 in the Mulhouse, Palomar and Mangualde plants, taking into account the different technical constraints within each site.
